I'm Not Here is a series of large-scale oil pastel drawings that explore the concept of disassociation in relation to time, focusing on the notion of "lost" time. The series aims to challenge conventional notions of identity by prompting us to question the fluid nature of who we are, and what we miss in lost moments. By delving into the unreliable aspects of memory and their influence on our perception of time, these portraits intertwine specific moments to create layered compositions that evoke a sense of impermanence. The art encapsulates the out-of-body experience often associated with disassociation and facilitates conversation on what this separation from reality means for the individual experiencing it and for those around them.
